Ashtavakra Gita · Verse 11.2 · Ashtavakra speaks
Knowing for certain that Ishwara is the creator of all and that there is none else here, one becomes peaceful with all his desires set at rest within and is not attached to anything whatsoever.

ईश्वरः
īśvaraḥ
the Lord, Ishwara
noun, masculine, nominative singular
In Advaita, Īśvara is Brahman as seen through the lens of māyā — the creator-God. When one knows Īśvara as the sole reality, the perceived plurality of creators, enjoyers, and sufferers dissolves.

Desires arise from the perception of otherness — of things outside oneself worth craving. The recognition that Īśvara alone exists removes the very ground of desire.
